YACHT CLUB CALA D’OR TO HOST PRESENTATION AT THE BARCELONA BOAT SHOW!

Yacht Club Cala d’Or, one of the Mediterranean’s finest private members’ clubs and located on the south coast of Majorca, is set to host a special presentation at the Barcelona Boat Show for its members and guests from the UK and around the world.
As part of a series of initiatives to encourage tourism during the low season in Majorca, Yacht Club Cala d’Or, in conjunction with the Mallorcan Tourist Board, will host a special presentation followed by a reception on Tuesday, October 25. Commencing at 5pm, it can be found in the lobby of Hall 1, “Espai del Mar”, of the Gran Via M2 centre. Club members visiting the boat, one of the liveliest in the yachting calendar, along with the media, exhibitors and special guests are set to attend.
The presentation will feature talks and exhibits showing just how beautiful Majorca is throughout the year. From its capital of Palma, where places such as its Cathedrale and the L’Almudaina Palace, La Rambla and Calle Sant Miguel y Avda. Jaime III can be found, to the Cala d’Or region where quaint churches, fishing coves, vineyards and picturesque harbours dot its landscape and capture visitors’ imagination at any time of the year.
The Yacht Club Cala d’Or, located in a cove at the Marina de Cala d’Or in the south east of the island, offers its corporate and family members superb leisure facilities, children’s play areas, the finest French-inspired Mediterranean cuisine, and plenty of social and sports activities.
In addition, for corporate members, the club also offers a viable business conferencing venue. Located a short drive from Palma’s airport, with flights of around two hours from the UK, Germany and France, the club is a convenient and sophisticated setting for business.
It is equipped with a new technology and telecommunications such as video conferencing, and is ideal for a number of corporate events from business meetings and AGMs to conferences, product launches, press events, sales meetings and incentive events. The conference suite can accommodate around 20 for board meetings or as many as 60 delegates in a theatre-style arrangement.
“The Barcelona Boat Show is the perfect platform for us to promote Majorca as a destination for corporate events, and Yacht Club Cala d’Or itself a perfect venue for those meetings,” says Pam Op den Brouw, the club’s managing director.
Marina Cala d’Or, Hasso Rent a Car and Tryp Hotels are also co-hosting the event. They will be launching an “Escape to Mallorca“ offer, with special car hire and hotel room rates. The Yacht Club Cala d’Or will also distribute “Member for a Day” invitations.
